The concept of rehabilitation of children is vital for the sustainable development of a nation. The subject conference will try finding ways of addressing the child vulnerabilities through research papers, also; by showcasing the working models and best practices for rehabilitation and strengthening the safety-nets around children’s issues. The conference invites the civil society, leaders in corporate world, religious leaders, media and line departments of provinces and Federation of Pakistan to understand associated problems and to explore possible avenues of collaborating for community based responses.
HHRD wants to explore the ‘Community-based Empowerment of Vulnerable Children’ (ICCEVC) approach for addressing the child vulnerabilities and will be facilitating research and development on this topic broader enough to encircle the problems faced by children of different social groups in Pakistan.
The conference is likely to be held for two days in the mid of November 2011 in Islamabad presenting research from Pakistan and abroad and displaying working models whether local or international; governmental or non-governmental within the conference themes. |
The target audience of the conference includes:
1) Government: Advocacy so as the government departments shall play their due role; support to
advocacy campaigns around child rights and care can;
2) Corporations: Sensitization of influential and corporate persons, industrialists etc. for support to
projects related to addressing certain kinds of child vulnerabilities.
3) Third Sector: Joining hands for collaboration and engaging the civil society in Pakistan for
initiatives taking care of the needs of children;
4) Stakeholders: Awareness among communities; the local leaders, Ulema, researchers, teachers,
institutions, trainers, health facilities, transporters and traders, volunteers etc. |
